Thinxtra

Thinxtra is rolling out the first IoT network in Australia, New Zealand and Hong Kong, based on Sigfox LPWAN (Low Power Wide Area Network) technology. This is the missing link – connectivity – between things and platforms. The network already covers 73% of Australian population and 94% of New-Zealand population, and is well on track to cover 95% of the ANZ population by mid 2018. Sigfox is particularly well suited for IoT applications by providing an ultra low cost and low power, ubiquitous and simple connectivity to enable mass deployment of IoT.
Beyond managing these IoT networks, Thinxtra is working closely with a full ecosystem of partners (from IoT platforms to device makers to system integrators to consultants to researchers) in all industry verticals markets as this technology is well suited for a new breed of IoT applications by providing an ultra low cost and low power, ubiquitous and simple connectivity to enable mass deployment of Industrial IoT.
Thinxtra is backed by NZX-listed high-tech company Rakon Ltd, which has a history of innovation in communications technology going back some 50 years as well as the CEFC (Clean Energy Finance Corporation), an Australian Government fund with a mission to accelerate local transformation towards a more competitive economy in a carbon constrained world.
