To find out more about Sponsorship opportunities please contact us using the form below and one of the Convergence team will be back in touch very soon.

Why should my company engage in sponsorship?

Creating an image of success and authority for your industry is a smart way to be successful. People are comfortable doing business with companies they trust to meet their expectations. If your business looks profitable, customers believe you can deliver what they need.

Imagine how your reputation soars when you work alongside other successful brands at Convergence. Through event sponsorship, you can leverage this power of collective credibility. Sponsorship is increasingly popular among businesses that want to grow fast and reach quality audiences.

Through our sponsorship programme your brand and message can reach hundreds of thousands of new proscptive customers.

What does it mean to sponsor an event? Sponsors offer funding or products and services to support Convergence. In exchange, you get business exposure and a chance to connect with new customers.

If you’re looking to stretch your marketing budget, here are 10 reasons to sponsor an event.

1. Brand Visibility

Sponsorships put your brand visuals in front of large audiences who haven’t heard of your business. With our huge marketing campaigns and social media reach you get before, during, and after coverage lasting for 6+ months. With Convergence sponsorship, you get brand positioing in our EDMs reaching over 550K top regional executives, vast social media reach, video inclusion and huge brand recognition.

We can discuss speaking positioing, a trade show stand, event activations and promotional giveaways at the event.

2. Targeted Marketing

With our highly targeted marketing we engage with a very hard to reach exeuctive audience interested in your brand and message. Working with Convergence gives you opportunities to engage one on one with people looking for relevant product solutions .

3. Consumer Perception

Public perception can make or break your business. Customers form positive opinions when your business is tied to exciting events like Convergence. Customers will assume your business is reliable and reputable if you can sponsor this high profile event.

In a 2016 survey, the Event Marketing Institute found that 74% of consumers are more likely to buy products after exposure to a branded event marketing experience. Use the clout you earn as a sponsor to grow your reputation in your community.

4. Efficient Lead Generation

Think about the amount of time you normally spend hunting for 10 qualified leads. How about 20, 50, or 100? Not only will Convergence bring you a host of compatible customers.

5. Sales Goals

Along with leads, consumer events allow you to rack up sales on the spot. Many companies make the bulk of their purchases at trade shows, and you can quickly earn their respect as a sponsor at Convergence.

We can discuss category exclusivity. That way, you don’t have to worry about a competitor brand at the event.

6. Community Goodwill

Strengthening your business image is one of the most valuable benefits of Convergence sponsorship. Customers love brands that care about spreading positive messages and helping the ecosystem. Linking your business to an event support the growth of economy building emering technology will only strengthen your brand.

Community involvement also sets you apart from other brands. People have more incentive to support your business if you’re invested in the local ecosystem.

7. Content Strategy

Convergence sponsorship provide fresh material to expand your content strategy. We create and share videos, photos, graphics and social media posts, you can use all this content. Statisitcs show 98% of sponsors uses social media to promote their involvement. Convergence gets a lot of engagement, pre-event, at-event and also post-event for 6+ months form our social sharing and posting.

The Event Marketing Institute reported that 98% of consumers create their own social content during events. When attendees share photos, quotes, videos, and blogs, you get exposure to much larger networks. User-generated content has a greater impact on customers, so make it easy for people to engage with your business on social media at Convergence. We can assist with these strategies.

8. Audience Insights

We share detailed Post Event Reports with our sponsors. Statistics show 46% of sponsors considered post-event reports to be extremely valuable, 30% valued business ideas they gained from events, and 34% valued info on audience perceptions.

Convergnece sponsorship is a beneficial learning experience for both big multinational brands and SMEs. After all, a roomful of great minds is better than one. You get a firsthand look at how other businesses differentiate themselves and attract customers.

9. Business Relationships

Are you in the market for new partnerships or supplier relationships? Convergence offers a rare opportunity to find non-competing businesses you can collaborate with in the future. As well as a great way to meet future staff and hot talent.

10. Return on Investment

Whether you plan to sell or not, Convergence is a great way to start quality relationships. The goal is to leave with a list of leads to follow up on afterward. You don’t necessarily need to make a huge profit on event day, as long as you have a long-term way to leverage your investment.

Statistics show 55% of sponsors said their return on investment increased from 2017 to 2018. To make the most of your Convertgence sponsorship, decide what you want to achieve and discuss your desired outcomes with our professional event and marketing team.

Ben Moir

Founder WearableX / Snepo FabLab (world leader in wearable technology)

New York, USA / Sydney

Sydney's First FabLab Opens - Snepo Labs - taking Snepo Research to the next level after 10 years of working on the most technically challenging and radically innovative projects in Australia. Back in 2011 Ben Moir invented his own version of Pokemon Go with a GPS game, Gotcha, involving over 100,000 people running around the streets trying to win a virtual prize for 2DayFM. After significant research Ben and his team developed ingestible electronics with Bluetooth for a campaign, which involved someone taking on the challenge and eating it. When Oculus’ first development kits first arrived in Australia it took Snepo only 3 weeks to build their own 3D engine to demo VR at a conference. When it comes to new technology Ben does things first and develops at breakneck speed.

Snepo Labs will be the first certified FabLab on the East Coast of Australia. It will allow them to prototype and create commercial products even faster. The first project out of Snepo Labs is NadiX - IoT yoga pants with embedded electronics, taking less than 6 months to produce from start to product launch. At Snepo Labs Ben brings together schools, universities, corporates and startups to accelerate the time to market using the latest digital fabrication tools. The Snepo FabLab is being fitted out to build Lab v2, self-replicating, self-sufficient and designed with a sense of play and fun at its core.

Kiah Hickson

Educator, StartFizz.com

(IoT / wearables)

The spark started at 14, hacking MySpace to out-glitter her friends. Something about the granularity of code would resurface in her 20ʼs. After realising her dreams werenʼt being fulfilled and her inability to make an impact, drawn by the endless possibilities of tech, Kiah quit the corporate world and sold everything she owned to learn code. This knowledge propelled her into a world where making a difference was possible. Kiahʼs high impact project is her “Girl on Fire” LED wearables dress, which she uses to inspire young women to learn to code. The dress is also a gateway to Kiahʼs vision of IoT wearables merging with the human body, breaking down disability barriers and access to technology. She also teaches code and mentors female high school students, as well as founding Australian startup resource StartFizz.com, leveraging knowledge acquired (sometimes the hard way) through past entrepreneurial projects.

  • Imagine helping the deaf to hear, the blind to see, the immobile to walk. It’s humans helping humans at an accelerated rate. It takes one person who can code and a dream to positively impact the masses.
  • The one thing you need to succeed in tech is to dream. With code, anything is possible. When your code intertwines with real objects, with clothes, with human bodies, this is where dreams turn to reality.
  • Kiah will walk you through her journey into the tech and IoT world, the ‘Girl on Fire’ LED wearables dress, and the bold vision for merging tech with our bodies - and how it’s already happening.

Sydney Brewery

SydBrewProducts 01

Lovedale Brewery was founded on the Crown Plaza site in the Hunter Valley in 2013, whilst Sydney Brewery originally in The Macquarie Hotel, now finds itself taking up residence in Sydney’s World Square at Rydges Hotel. The move of headquarters came with the name change, which reflects the new Sydney suburban branding theme. Lovedale Lager pays homage to the humble beginnings out in the Hunter and many of the brews like ‘Glamarama Summer Ale’ pay their respects to Sydney - this one specifically Tamarama in the East, and the fact that if it’s not ‘the look’ that’s hot it’s the weather. Or being summer in Sydney’s east, it’s both.

Rockcliffe Rivage Sparking Cuvee NV

Wine 01

Enchanting fruit bouquet with creamy aromas; Fresh fruity, herbaceous palate with a citrus tang for an impressive lingering, clean finish.

Rockcliffe Third Reef Chardonnay 2016

Wine 03

Lifted bouquet of nectarines and stone fruits with underlay of toasty spice; Barrel ferment characters add complexity while flavors of citrus and cashew swirl around the palate to give a long flavorsome finish

Rockcliffe Single Site Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

Wine 02

Deep crimson color with a purple hue; Perfumed nose of dark berries and savoury characters; Palate is fully of juicy berries and earthy notes supported by well-integrated tannins.

95 points - James Halliday Wine Companion 2018

4.5 stars - Winestate Cabernet Tasting and finalist in Wine of the Year 2016

Silver Medal - Australian & New Zealand Boutique Wine Show 2016

Appendices – Consumer Landscape Background Information

 Conv05 FB2nd MarinaBay1 01

Useful background information for Convergence 005 | SWITCH on Monday 18 September, 11am – 5pm at the iconic Marina Bay Sands, Singapore.

At the center of this continuing wave of innovation is the technology industry, leading it are the super-competitors, the “Big Five”: Apple, Samsung, Microsoft, Google and Facebook.

And yet the Big Five have competition. Many other technology players are making big plays in the space, the “Next 20” the the other competitors after the Big Five: Adobe, Amazon, Analog Devices, Applied Materials, Broadcom, Cisco, Dell, HP, IBM, Intel, Intuit, Micron, Nvidia, Oracle, Qualcomm, Salesforce, Symantec, Texas Instruments, VMware, and Western Digital.

Further disruption will come from five other companies, the "Challengers", all of them based in China: Alibaba, Baidu, Huawei, JD.com, and Tencent. This is the battle ground of the next technology Convergence.

Conv5 Facebook VR 01

The internet has shifted from being a predominately text-based source of information to one that is comprised of 70 percent video traffic. This is no wonder, since our brains are hardwired to understand the world graphically.

Virtual Reality (VR) is currently the fastest growing form of video traffic, with Cisco predicting that it will grow 61 fold between 2017 and 2020 to an industry (with Augmented Reality) worth US$165BIL. When video literally means the world, computing power will be directed at our visual cortex rather than our fingertips.

VR and augmented reality (AR) are key features of the major 2017 update to Microsoft Windows 10, as well as announcement by Apple. And in fact, more than 40 percent of advanced internet users we have surveyed would like a computer with VR/AR as its main interface.

VRStats 01

Microsoft Hololens is currently leading the Augmented Reality (AR) headset race, if there is such a competition. Hololens is simply extraordinary as far as its capabilities as a working head mounted display. Despite the bigger players in the space, Magic Leap for example the biggest ever start-up with over US$1.4BIL investment, Hololens has been consistent in their development and distribution.

2017 we can all clearly predict an upturn in adoption but Hololens will be used as an AR tool, outside of the games and gimmicks, to increase the productiveness of users; especially in the work field. Developers are already expanding the Hololens community, as apps like HoloMaps surface on the platform. The adoption of HMDs will show us how the future of computing equates to everyday life.

Mixed Reality is predicted to be most important tech of 2017.

A hybrid of both AR and VR, Mixed Reality (MR) is far more advanced than VR because it combines the use of several types of technologies including sensors, advanced optics and next gen computing power. All of this technology bundled into a single device provides the user with the capability to overlay augmented holographic digital content into your real-time space, creating scenarios that are unbelievably realistic.

How does it work? MR works by scanning your physical environment and creating a 3D map of your surroundings so the device will know exactly where and how to place digital content into that space – realistically – while allowing you to interact with it using gestures. Much different than VR where the user is immersed in a totally different world, MR experiences invite digital content into your real-time surroundings, allowing you to interact with them.

Conv05 FB2nd IoT 01

Today, AI research and development is booming all over the world, from Tokyo to San Francisco. AI is no longer a sci-fi story. Today AI technology has many applications. It is behind the recommendations that streamed media services make based on consumption habits, in the assistants in our phones and as advisors in areas such as healthcare and legislation. And consumers believe it is here to stay.

AIStats 01

The concept of printing items at home, either to replace other objects or just as a hobby, will make an impact in the consumer space. The 3D printing market, which has grown by as much as 30% year-over-year in the past, is now set to triple in revenue over the next three years. In 2016, the 3D printing industry, which includes machines, materials and printing services, reached $7.3 billion. By 2020, it is expected to grow to $21 billion.

Consumer electronics and automotive industries will represent a combined 40% of the coming growth in 3D printing, followed by medical devices with 15%, in 2016 98% of hearing aids worldwide were manufactured using 3D printing.

The use of 3D printing to produce custom components of athletic shoes for the general consumer market is a race between Nike, Adidas Under Armor, and New Balance jostling for position in 2017.

Conv5 Facebook 3DPrinting 01

The potentially huge market for custom-made athletic shoes and the outsize profit margins they should generate are why the industry's key players are going all-in on 3D printing for the general consumer footwear market. Globally, the athletic footwear market generates approximately $80 billion a year in sales.
